Another day, another Yahoo! screw-up

There are so many reasons why Yahoo's recently leaked memo, encouraging (or instructing) employees to stop working from home, is a bad idea. Forbes outlines a few.

But even if it were a great idea (and not, as has been speculated, a way of encouraging some employees to quit to lower costs) it doesn't touch the real heart of Yahoo's woes - its continuing inability to focus the company and figure out exactly what it is that Yahoo is for. Just look at their home page and see if you can figure out what their business focus is and then compare it with the home page of the company that nicked their business out from under them.
